Forio, cocaine in medicine containers: hashish, marijuana, and cash in the house. Arrested.

Forio – The cocaine was hidden in the backpack, inside two containers of over-the-counter medications. The intervention of the Carabinieri of the Ischia Company began with a street check on Via Sant'Antonio Abate, leading to the arrest of a 38-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement.

Backpack check

The officers were patrolling the area when the man parked his scooter a few meters away. His behavior attracted the attention of the Carabinieri, who decided to arrest him. In his backpack, they found 18 packages of cocaine, hidden inside two prescription containers.

The house search

The search continued at the 38-year-old's home. Between the living room and bedroom, the Carabinieri found 18 blocks of hashish weighing a total of 700 kg, five vacuum-packed bags containing 740 grams of marijuana, and another 222 packages of cocaine.

Packaging material and €9.650 in cash were also found in the apartment, which investigators believe to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.

The 38-year-old was arrested and will have to answer for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
