Forio, a 39-year-old man dies after a collision between a motorcycle and an e-bike.

Ischia – The 39-year-old MDN from Casamicciola, involved in a serious road accident last night on Via Provinciale Panza on the island of Ischia, died after being transported to the hospital.

The man was riding a motorcycle when, according to an initial reconstruction, which is still being verified and is currently being investigated, he collided with an e-bike ridden by a 21-year-old man who was traveling in the opposite direction.

A violent impact caused the motorcyclist serious injuries. Emergency services arrived immediately after the accident, and the 39-year-old was transported by ambulance to Rizzoli Hospital in Lacco Ameno. His condition, however, immediately appeared extremely serious, and despite paramedics' efforts, he died from his injuries.

A 21-year-old was also injured

The 21-year-old man on the e-bike was also taken to the same hospital. He was injured in the crash, but his life is reportedly not in danger.

Carabinieri officers from the Forio station and members of the Ischia Company's Operations and Radiomobile Unit responded to the scene of the accident. Their task now is to reconstruct precisely what happened and, above all, to establish the dynamics of the collision.

Investigations into the dynamics

Investigators will need to determine the position of the two vehicles, their respective directions of travel, and how the collision occurred. Therefore, at this time, any reconstruction remains provisional pending further investigation.

The motorcycle was seized. The 39-year-old's body has been released to the judicial authorities, who may order an autopsy to further clarify the cause of death.
