In Pozzuoli, a temporary plan has been put in place to ensure the continuity of connections between Ischia, Procida, and Naples during safety improvements at the port. This measure is designed to maintain nighttime freight transport services despite the ban on heavy vehicles on the port access roads. It will be in effect until the work is completed, expected by October 7th.

The solution involves a temporary reorganization of passenger transport: on weekdays, one service from Ischia at 19:45 PM (Ischia-Procida-Naples) and one from Naples at 21:05 PM will be suspended. Other scheduled services will remain available at times close to the affected routes. On Saturdays and Sundays, regular services will continue.

The official announcement was issued by the Prefecture of Naples, which emphasized the need to safeguard territorial continuity and the flow of goods to the Gulf islands, while also protecting the local economy. A meeting convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, was held at the Palazzo di Governo. The meeting was attended by the mayors of Ischia (Vincenzo Ferrandino), Forio (Stani Verde), and Procida (Luigi Muro). Representatives of the municipalities of Barano d'Ischia, Casamicciola Terme, and Lacco Ameno were also present, as well as officials from the Campania Region's General Directorate for Mobility, the Pozzuoli Maritime District Office, Caremar spa, Medmar spa, and the New Atec Association.

The measure, the sources explain, is aimed at guaranteeing territorial continuity and maintaining a stable flow of goods traffic to and from the islands, pending the completion of the works and within the framework of the protection of the local economic fabric.
