Castel Volturno: 600 square meters seized, illegal car wash and hazardous waste

An area of ​​approximately 600 square meters, used as a car wash and transformed into an illegal landfill for hazardous waste, was seized in Castel Volturno by the Caserta Provincial Police. Officers, led by Commander Biagio Chiariello, entered the property and identified thirteen people present, including several non-EU citizens.

On the ground, exposed to the elements and without any environmental protection, was a large quantity of hazardous waste. Among those present, attention focused on a man living in Arzano, already known to law enforcement and linked—according to investigators—to a family in the "167" district whose relatives are also detained for Camorra-type association.

The vehicle he was using, which lacked mandatory insurance, was placed under administrative seizure. At the end of the operation, the entire area was seized. The business owner was reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office for environmental crimes and unauthorized waste management.

A report has also been sent to the SUAP (Suap) and the Urban Planning Office of the Municipality of Castel Volturno, to verify any unauthorized construction and administrative irregularities. This action is part of the ongoing checks on the Domitian coast to prevent illegal waste dumping.
