Angel Napolitano
The overnight robbery in the ASI area of Giugliano in Campania is shaping up to be a true mystery. The latest-generation smartphones stolen from the judicial sales depot on Via Circumvallazione Esterna are, in fact, the devices seized as part of the major investigation into Angelo Napolitano.
The entrepreneur and well-known social media personality, owner of the "Napolitano Store" brand, is meanwhile preparing for the first hearing of his trial, scheduled for early October at the Nola Court.
The criminals entered the industrial area by breaking into the storage area for confiscated goods, which were due to be auctioned off. A swift and effective operation: the gang targeted the most valuable merchandise, stealing numerous Apple iPhones destined for the auction block.
The Carabinieri of the Giugliano company's mobile radio unit are working quickly on the incident, having carried out technical surveys and highlighted the possibility of a contract theft or an orchestrated plot to conceal evidence and recover valuables.
The stolen devices represent the heart of the business empire built by Napolitano, who rose to fame on TikTok by selling smartphones and technology at prices significantly lower than their original market value. This business boomed in just a few years, but it came under scrutiny from the Nola Prosecutor's Office and the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Naples Financial Police.
According to the investigators' accusations, behind those "crazy prices" widely promoted on the web was hidden a complex system of tax fraud:
VAT evasion and false invoices: VAT evasion of over €5,7 million was alleged, involving the use of non-existent transactions to justify the removal of goods from the warehouse.
Black market sales and double price lists : The use of “double accounting” that guaranteed significant discounts to customers willing to purchase in cash or with large denomination banknotes.
Billion-dollar seizure : The circumstantial evidence had already led to the preventive seizure of assets worth approximately 6 million euros, including shops, properties, cash and a 16,5-metre luxury yacht.
While law enforcement attempts to track down the perpetrators of the Giugliano robbery, judicial attention is now shifting to the courtrooms of Nola. The TikTok user's trial will begin in early October, facing serious charges of fraud, issuing false invoices, and tax evasion. This crucial event will shed light on the true financial management of the "Napolitano Store," now further complicated by the sudden and suspicious nighttime raid.
