Two drug-related arrests in Afragola during street checks and house searches.

The State Police continues its efforts to combat drug trafficking in the Afragola area. Today, targeted checks were conducted, resulting in the arrest of two men, charged with illegal drug possession.

During a patrol on Via Venezia Giulia, officers stopped a 29-year-old. Upon inspection, they discovered that his backpack and pockets contained three pieces of hashish weighing approximately 4 grams, along with a bag containing approximately 14 grams of marijuana and €240 in cash of various denominations.

Considering the possibility of additional evidence useful to the case, investigators conducted an initiative search of the young man's home. Inside, they found approximately 20 grams of hashish, a precision scale, and €950, also divided into banknotes of various denominations.

At the same time, the same departments identified a 42-year-old man driving a car on Via Armando Diaz, whose behavior, upon seeing officers, forced him to flee briefly to evade detection. The man was stopped on Via Spineti and found in possession of 12 packages containing 5 grams of cocaine and €120 in cash.

Officers subsequently arrested both individuals involved. The operation confirms the Naples Police Headquarters' commitment to patrolling streets and homes to combat illicit drug trafficking.
