The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli is offering a 24-month research contract in the Department of Precision Medicine, as part of the EPIGA/EPI-GA project on gastric cancer.
This call for applications involves a public selection process based on qualifications and an interview process for the hiring of a Contract Researcher, pursuant to Article 22 of Law 240/2010. The EPIGA (Epigenetic Targeting Against Gastric Cancer) project aims to analyze epigenetic and transcriptomic mechanisms linked to gastric cancer, using next-generation sequencing technologies and integrated analysis of biomolecular data.
The position is aimed at a highly qualified researcher capable of working in a biomedical context in general pathology. Key activities include: experimental design, management and characterization of biological samples, analysis of omics data (transcriptomic and epigenetic), and contribution to scientific publications. The required profile is consistent with medical and biological biotechnology, and requires familiarity with molecular biology techniques and NGS platforms such as RNAseq, ATAC-seq, and TSO.
Position: 1 Research Fellow in General Pathology for EPIGA/EPI-GA, at the Department of Precision Medicine, University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" (Naples). Duration: 24 months, full-time, with a commitment of 1500 hours per year. Gross annual salary indicated in the announcement: €28.456,48, including a thirteenth month's salary; please note that the technical appendix states €28.456,50, but for editorial reasons, this should be verified in the official text.
The main work location is the Department of Precision Medicine, involving patient samples enrolled at the AOU Luigi Vanvitelli and offices/departments in Naples, as indicated in the announcement.
