Benevento – The social worker of the Municipality of San Salvatore Telesino was heard as a witness by the Prosecutor's Office in the trial before the Benevento Criminal Court against Dr. Monaco, a sixty-year-old man from Frasso Telesino.
The man is accused of mistreatment and stalking his ex-wife, originally from Piedimonte Matese and resident in San Salvatore Telesino.
The social worker reported having contact with the woman as part of the citizen's income program. On several occasions, according to the witness, the woman had spoken to her about arguments and conflicts with her husband. The social worker, however, clarified that she had never observed bruises or other signs of violence and had received no further reports of incidents of abuse.
The facts reported by the woman concern a period between 1995 and 2021. According to her account, during those years she suffered harassment and mistreatment: accusations on which the trial is ongoing.
The injured party had already been heard at the hearing last March. His testimony lasted over an hour, with questions from the Prosecutor's Office and Angelo Riccio, the civil plaintiff's lawyer, followed by cross-examination by Massimo Viscussi, the defendant's defense attorney.
The trial has been adjourned to February 26, 2027. The warrant officer who served at the Frasso Telesino Carabinieri station in 1997, a warrant officer from the San Salvatore Telesino station, the victim's current partner, and the couple's daughter are scheduled to be examined on that date.
