Caserta: Environmental inspections at 12 waste treatment plants

The Caserta Provincial Police, with the support of ARPAC, continue their efforts to combat environmental crimes and ensure road safety. The operation involved 12 waste treatment plants in the area, with particular attention to the Gricignano d'Aversa area, where reports of unpleasant odors and miasmas had been received.

As part of the measures promoted by the Province of Caserta, led by President Anacleto Colombiano, the officials inspected the facilities to verify environmental and administrative compliance, with the assistance of ARPAC technicians.

During the inspections, coordinated by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, operational and administrative irregularities were discovered at some facilities. The investigation also extended to workplace safety and compliance with the Highway Code, including checks on vehicles used by a municipal waste management company.

A truck without the required insurance coverage was seized. The violations identified resulted in fines of over €20. Overall, 80 individuals were identified, 43 traffic violations were issued, and two driving licenses were revoked.

These activities are part of the extraordinary services to prevent and combat environmental crimes and traffic violations conducted by the Provincial Police throughout the Caserta area, with the aim of protecting public health and ensuring compliance.

The operations aim to strengthen controls, promote legality, and protect the environment and road safety in the Caserta area and province.
