The Karol Theater in Castellammare di Stabia opens its season with Mamma. Piccole tragedie minimali, based on the play by Annibale Ruccello and directed by Enrico Ianniello. Fabrizia Sacchi performs, with the actor also directing. The performance is Wednesday, October 14th at 20:30 PM at Via Salvador Allende, 4.
The show is built around four monologues that form Ruccello's text, interpreted as a staged dialogue between two voices. Ianniello's direction accompanies the original score, highlighting rhythm and insight. Mamma, written in 1986, is considered the author's theatrical testament.
“Four monologues, four women, four mothers: apparently ordinary existences.”
The production, developed within the Casa del Contemporaneo, continues a journey of comparison between Neapolitan and Catalan culture, highlighting the narrative power of the female protagonists.
