FL, a 34-year-old from Cervinara, was released from prison after being arrested during an operation by the Benevento Police Headquarters following the discovery of approximately 11 kilos of narcotics, including hashish and marijuana, in a residence linked to the man. The Benevento Court ordered the man's pre-trial detention replaced with a mandatory residence order.
The ruling came after the judges accepted the defense arguments of lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Fabio Russo, assisted by lawyer Giuseppe Vittorio Fucci.
The incident began during a roadblock in the Benevento area. Officers ordered the car carrying the 34-year-old man and another person to stop, and then proceeded to search both men. According to the investigation, FL tested negative, while the other passenger was found in possession of narcotics.
Subsequent house searches, conducted at several homes linked to the 34-year-old, yielded the largest find. In a home in Cervinara, officers located approximately 11 kilos of hashish and marijuana, divided into several blocks. During the investigation, approximately €10 in cash and two cell phones were also seized.
In light of the arguments presented by the lawyers, the Court of Benevento ordered the suspect's release from prison, replacing the precautionary prison order with a mandatory residence order. This order concerns the precautionary measure and does not constitute a definitive ruling on the man's liability, who remains presumed innocent until a final conviction.
