Patrizia Mercolino and little Domenico Caliendo
Just days after reaching a financial settlement, the family of little Domenico Caliendo is stepping up their institutional communications efforts. Through their lawyer, Francesco Petruzzi, parents Alfonso Antonio Caliendo and Patrizia Mercolino have submitted an official request to the Colli Hospital Authority to hold a joint press conference on the case of their child, who died following complications from a failed heart transplant at the Monaldi Hospital in Naples.
The letter sent to the health department aims to seal the conclusion of the legal dispute under the banner of detente. According to attorney Petruzzi, the joint meeting would have the primary objective of:
Protect the image and interests of all parties involved in the matter.
Ensure transparent communication, in full harmony with the spirit of the recent economic agreement.
Strictly comply with any confidentiality clauses included in the signed agreement.
The formal letter emphasizes the parents' desire to transform the moment of the resolution of the dispute into a public occasion of mutual recognition. The family's intention is to publicize the positive outcome of the dispute and, at the same time, take this opportunity to openly thank the healthcare facility for the shared human and institutional journey during these difficult months.
