A plot of land covering approximately 1,000 square meters containing hazardous and non-hazardous waste was seized in San Cipriano d'Aversa, as part of environmental inspections conducted by the Carabinieri in the Land of Fires. The landowner has been reported to the judicial authorities at large.
The operation was carried out this afternoon by officers from the San Cipriano d'Aversa Carabinieri Station on Via Acquaro. During the inspections, aimed at combating uncontrolled waste dumping and environmental crimes, the presence of various types of materials was discovered, including iron, plastic, aluminum, and wood.
The investigations led to the criminal seizure of the area, to prevent its free use and preserve the condition of the premises pending further investigations required by law. The owner has been charged with uncontrolled abandonment and illegal waste management.
The judicial authorities have been informed of the incident, while the military continues their investigations to reconstruct the situation found on the ground.
The operation is part of the surveillance and prevention efforts implemented in the Land of Fires area, where inspections also include private properties and sites where accumulations of materials are identified. The goal is to combat practices that could compromise the health of the area and protect the environment.
The reported individual's position remains under judicial review: any liability must be determined by the appropriate authorities, respecting the presumption of innocence until a final conviction.
