The seized pastry shop
Wide-ranging checks continue in the capital. This time, the Vasto neighborhood and surrounding areas have been targeted.
The operation was conducted by Carabinieri from the Napoli Stella Company, supported by Nil officers, the Mobile Radio Unit, and personnel from the Naples Local Health Authority. Patrols combed the neighborhood's streets: 67 people were identified and 33 vehicles were checked.
The inspections also included an inspection of a pastry shop. Serious hygiene and sanitation deficiencies were discovered. The Scia (Certified Body for Safety and Health) and the HACCP manual were missing. An undeclared worker was also found. Medical checks were omitted and employee training was lacking.
The owner, a 34-year-old entrepreneur, was reported and fined approximately €12. The business was suspended.
A 22-year-old man was charged with escaping. The man, already under house arrest, was found outside his home.
A 58-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement, faced the same outcome. He was caught illegally operating a parking lot.
