Piazza Carlo III: 19-year-old man assaults officers during a traffic stop; arrested

He was arrested after attacking officers during a checkpoint in Piazza Carlo III. The perpetrator of the incident is a 19-year-old man, arrested by the State Police last night on charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.
Operators from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue were engaged in a territorial control service when, passing through Piazza Carlo III, they proceeded to identify the young man.
During the operation, according to police reports, the 19-year-old allegedly began to become enraged, cursing the officers. The situation then escalated to physical assault. The officers managed to subdue him and took him into custody. He faces charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.
