A cannabis and marijuana plantation was discovered on Via Cavour in Torre Annunziata, Italy: a 41-year-old man was arrested.

Torre Annunziata – A new crackdown on drug trafficking in the Vesuvius area. Carabinieri officers from the Torre Annunziata branch arrested Giuseppe Napoli, a 41-year-old local man already known to law enforcement, on charges of cultivation and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The operation was triggered during a targeted territorial control operation. The officers raided a plot of land on Via Cavour, owned by the man, and conducted a thorough search of the entire area.

During the investigation, the Carabinieri discovered a crop of nine Cannabis indica bushes, each with a stem approximately one and a half meters tall. In addition to the plants, the inspection uncovered 724 grams of dried marijuana, divided into four separate packages, presumably ready for sale on the local market.

The farm also contained a precision scale and various materials used for measuring and packaging the doses, which led to the immediate seizure of the items found as evidence.

Following the standard investigations, the 41-year-old was placed under arrest and taken to the prison where he was held by the competent judicial authority, pending a hearing to validate the order.
