Vico Equense: Prohibited electromagnetic decoy seized

As part of the checks on the territory aimed at combating poaching and protecting wild fauna, the Forestry Carabinieri of the Castellammare di Stabia unit have carried out an intervention in the Veterina/Arola area, in the Vico Equense countryside, near Monte Comune.

Prohibited electromagnetic recall seized

During the operation, a fully functional electromagnetic decoy used to reproduce quail song to attract wildlife was located and seized. The use of such equipment is prohibited under Law 157/92, Article 30, Paragraph 1, Letter h.

The device was seized under criminal law against unknown persons, and the matter was reported to the Judicial Authority, with the submission of a relevant criminal report. The Carabinieri are still investigating and conducting inquiries to identify the users and owners of the seized device.
