“Reality Cannot Be This” is the title of the song written by four hands in these days of quarantine, each from their own home.
“It's a classic ballad, which tells of this sort of 'day after' that we are living, which wants to transmit the good vibrations of the future at our doorstep,” explains Edoardo. Eugenio, who wrote the lyrics to his brother's music, echoes: “We perceive reality differently than before: the room is the space where these days run out, while the balcony is the place that connects us to the outside world. The web, on the other hand, has for some time been the prison where we risk losing the true relationship: looking each other in the eyes, talking to each other up close.”

“At the beginning I had another idea, then Eugenio, with his genius – adds Edoardo – wrote a text that represents the reality of now. It is said that this cannot be the reality, the one that is perceived from and on the web. Ours is a song of hope characterized by a proactive melody: reality is defending the weakest, the most vulnerable, it is the whole world to discover beyond the four walls of the house, it is the love that waves in the port, so we must change it: now it is really the necessity!”.

“It is an artistic collaboration based on the desire to maintain a feeling between two brothers with different styles – concludes Eugenio – We address the same audience, with a very distant starting choice but with the same basic idea: to say what we think, to give meaning to the present. We talk about the true relationship, the human one, the one that, for example, the two of us have with the audience: music is sharing, it is having people in front of you who listen to you. Even if physical contact gives strength to art, we have focused on artistic understanding at a distance. Even though we are far away, we had no difficulty in composing this song, because creativity knows no obstacles. It is a song born in a short time, immediate like the reality that presented itself to us”. In fact, the proceeds of the two artists from the song will be donated to the Azienda ospedaliera dei Colli (Monaldi – Cotugno – Cto).
