Neapolitans disappeared in Mexico: the trial begins on February 22. The defendants are police officers accused of having sold them to drug traffickers.

The trial of the four police officers held responsible for selling Raffaele Russo, Antonio Russo, and Vincenzo Cimmino, the three Neapolitan street vendors who have been missing for three years, to drug traffickers, will begin on February 22nd. January 31st marks the third anniversary of their disappearance. One of the accused officers, according to reports, died in prison a few days ago. Francesco Russo, the son, brother, and cousin of the three missing men, will attend the hearings online, along with his lawyers, Italian lawyer Claudio Falleti and Mexican lawyer Joaquin Esparza Mendez.

"We thank the Italian embassy in Mexico - says lawyer Falleti - for the continuous contacts even if the headquarters of the Farnesina seems to have forgotten about our fellow countrymen, we have contacted Minister Di Maio several times but without success. In a difficult moment like this that the world is going through, I express my solidarity also to the family of Luca Ventre, the Italian who died in Uruguay in the hope that for all Italians abroad who are victims of crimes, justice will be done".
