Betting case, Florenzi arrived at the Turin Prosecutor's Office

Alessandro Florenzi arrived at the Turin prosecutor 's office this afternoon, around 3:30 PM, to be questioned by prosecutor Manuela Pedrotta and investigators from the Turin Flying Squad as part of the investigation into a betting ring on illegal online platforms.

The AC Milan player is accused of illegally carrying out gambling or betting activities, a crime punishable by specific legislation, that set forth in article 4 of law 401 of 1989. Three other footballers, Nicolò Fagioli , Nicolò Zaniolo and Sandro Tonali , are also registered as suspects on the same charge.

It's unclear whether this development is related to the analysis of files from internet platforms long ago identified by the police or to other investigations. On October 24, the Flying Squad acquired an audio file in La Spezia that had been handed over to a lawyer by one of Fabrizio Corona 's alleged moles , the former photographer who had devoted extensive space on his website, Dillinger, to the gambling phenomenon.
