Arzano, puts sunny and “never occupied” burial niches up for sale on website: complaint filed

Arzano. An incredible story about the sales announcement published on the site “Subito.it” (pictured) by an Internet user named Domenico.

The story, paradoxical in itself, saw this individual in the process of being identified publish the announcement regarding the sale of two burial niches as is usually done for a house by the sea or in the mountains.

The wording used has triggered not only the hilarity of the readers, but also the rush to the lottery to play the numbers. The promoter has highlighted in the few lines dedicated to the advertisement that: "for sale nr. 2 "never occupied" burial niches in the Cemetery Consortium of arzano-Casoria-Casavatore – obviously with the location of the artifact -, both costing 4.250 euros.

Purchasable – writes the writer – through the consortium with a price increase”. Implying that if purchased as the law expressly requires, there would also be a possible price increase.

But the advertisement, after the complaint and the report of the director Sabato Terracciano, was immediately removed even if the verification activities aimed at identifying the author and proceeding with the complaint to the judicial authority are being carried out quickly.

The artifact in question should be the one called Itinerari della Fede, the same one that has already registered in the past years about three hundred scams to the detriment of unwary buyers. Scams that have determined the opening of a trial with three defendants (including an employee of the consortium itself) then acquitted due to the statute of limitations of the crimes.

But, although the sale of cemetery niches is prohibited, as cemeteries are subject to the regime of state property and, therefore, are inalienable, there are those who try to speculate on death to palm off the "package" in this case on relatives who are grief-stricken by the loss of their loved ones.

The new President of the consortium, Luigi Pappadia, also expressed his opinion on the matter, requesting the start of procedures to revoke the concession of the two niches still available to the concessionaire who may be guilty of putting them up for sale, pending the final response.
