Naples, jobs at risk for healthcare professionals
In Campania There are approximately 300 jobs at risk for healthcare professionals working in rehabilitation activities and this could have a heavy impact on the quality of care for particularly fragile people who must continue to be guaranteed the full right to health.
Paolo Esposito, President of the Order of Physiotherapists of NA-AV-BN-CE and Teresa Rea, President of the Order of Nursing Professions of Naples, intervened on the issue with a joint note.
“We are seriously concerned,” write Rea and Esposito, “about the future of three hundred healthcare professionals involved in rehabilitation activities and the inevitable repercussions that a possible loss of jobs could have on the quality of care for particularly fragile people.
We will carefully follow the evolution of the state of crisis, hoping for a resolution as soon as possible that will prevent the loss of many jobs in a sector, the social health sector, already suffering heavily due to forms of precariousness that have never been overcome and the scarcity of jobs.
Losing so many professionals involved in rehabilitation activities would also mean losing the necessary continuity of care for patients who are particularly in need of treatment and assistance".
