Castello delle Cerimonie, the TAR grants 30 days to 'Sonrisa' to withdraw the licenses

The "Castello delle Cerimonie" in Sant'Antonio Abate has been granted a further 30-day extension by a ruling from the Campania Regional Administrative Court.

This measure was taken to ensure the "safeguarding of the good faith of third parties not involved in the matter", or to protect workers and customers who had already booked events and ceremonies.

In the provision, the administrative court clarifies that the extension is necessary to "immediately remedy, and in any case for the time strictly necessary, the prejudice represented by the impossibility of being able to otherwise meet the commitments undertaken long ago in relation to activities and events already scheduled and to give adequate notice to the workers employed in the activities".

The suspension of the closure order comes after the municipal offices of Sant'Antonio Abate, following the instructions of Mayor Ilaria Abagnale's council, ordered the revocation of the restaurant and hotel licenses.

This decision was taken in view of the free acquisition of buildings and land, extending over 44 thousand square meters, following a ruling by the Court of Cassation for the crime of illegal subdivision.
