Salerno, girl stabbed near Juvenile Court

Last night, moments of great fear were experienced in the heart of Salerno's historic center. A twenty-year-old woman, resident in the province, was brutally stabbed in the back by an unknown assailant while she was alone in Largo San Tommaso d'Aquino, where the Juvenile Court is located. The attacker stabbed the young woman unexpectedly before disappearing.

Rescue and hospitalization

Emergency services were immediately called by a passerby who, noticing the young woman injured and clearly in distress, raised the alarm. Emergency medical services and a State Police patrol quickly arrived on the scene. The twenty-year-old was rushed to the city hospital with a red code due to the severity of the incident, but initial medical checks fortunately revealed her life is not in danger.

Police officers immediately began investigating the crime scene and collected initial testimonies to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident. Extensive investigations are currently underway to identify the perpetrator and clarify the motive for the attack.
