Ischia: Massive brawl erupts outside a diner: Police shut down the establishment for 15 days.

Ischia - A video of the violent brawl that broke out on the morning of August 12th in Ischia, outside a diner, went viral within days. Now, just over three weeks after the incident, an administrative measure has been issued: the Naples Police Chief has ordered the business to be suspended for fifteen days, at the request of the Carabinieri of the Ischia station.

The brawl in front of the club

According to investigators' reconstruction, more than a dozen young people fought outside the business that day. The argument, according to investigations, was sparked by trivial motives.

After an initial argument, the situation quickly escalated. The youths allegedly engaged in a particularly violent brawl, kicking and punching one another. Some were reportedly hit even after they had fallen to the ground.

The scene was captured by a local surveillance camera. The images, later shared on social media, quickly spread across the island and online, sparking widespread reactions.

The video acquired by the Carabinieri

The footage was acquired by the Carabinieri and was one of the elements used to reconstruct the events and identify the youths involved. Following the investigation, several participants in the brawl were charged.

The investigative activity also led the military to request an action against the commercial establishment in front of which the violent fight had occurred.

The 15-day suspension kicks in

Based on the evidence gathered, the Naples Police Chief ordered the temporary closure of the restaurant for fifteen days.

The measure is part of the prevention and public order and safety measures adopted by the public security authority against activities deemed to be linked to situations of particular alarm.

Weeks after that August morning, the order was finally issued that temporarily closed the business, which had been at the center of attention after images of the massive brawl went viral.
