Ischia: 24-year-old arrested with over 600 grams of cocaine and hashish

Ischia – Yesterday afternoon, the State Police arrested a 24-year-old for unlawful possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Officers from the Ischia Police Station, during targeted patrols, noticed the man leaving a beach resort and checked him: he had a stash of cocaine he had just purchased in his fanny pack.

Believing that additional information could emerge that would be useful to the investigation, the police entered the structure and found, on the subject, a fanny pack containing 5 packages of cocaine and 34 packages of hashish.

Subsequent searches included a warehouse and the suspect's home. A further 7 grams of cocaine, 625 grams of hashish divided into three blocks and 51 packages, as well as two precision scales and various drug packaging materials were found there.

For these reasons, the suspect was arrested by the operating personnel. The buyer, however, was fined for illegal possession of narcotics for personal use.
