The restrictive measure, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, affects individuals seriously suspected of premeditated double homicide, aggravated by futile and despicable motives, the use of mafia methods, and having acted to facilitate the powerful Longobardi-Beneduce Camorra clan.

The ambush of June 19, 1997: the end of the bosses Sebastiano and Bellofiore

The events date back to June 19, 1997. The scene of the carnage was the Toiano district in Pozzuoli, which was transformed into a veritable shooting range that afternoon. Domenico Sebastiano and Raffaele Bellofiore, at the time the undisputed leaders of the opposing criminal cartel of the same name, lost their lives under the fire of an armed commando.

According to the investigators' meticulous reconstruction, the crime was planned down to the smallest detail as part of the bloody feud for monopolistic control of illicit trafficking and the Phlegraean Fields.

A rain of fire: hunted and ended up on the streets

The dynamics described in the court documents convey the full ruthlessness of the commando. The victims were hunted down and hunted to death in a veritable sting operation.
