Lukaku guest on C'è Posta per te, Emanuele is moved, cured from leukemia

Maria De Filippi continues to enchant audiences with her hit show “C'è posta per te,” which attracts nearly five million viewers every Saturday night.

In the March 1 episode, the special guest was Romelu Lukaku, striker for Napoli and the Belgian national team, protagonist of the moving story of Francesca and Emanuele. Upon his entrance into the studio, the footballer was greeted with warm applause.

The opportunity to surprise Lukaku came thanks to Francesca, a 22-year-old girl who wanted to surprise her boyfriend Emanuele. The young woman considers him her family and her home, describing him as a lion who was able to defeat leukemia.

Emanuele has faced a long and difficult health journey that has included 12 cycles of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Despite the challenges, his strength and the support of his fiancée have been a beacon of hope for both of them.

As soon as he saw Emanuele, Lukaku hugged him affectionately and exclaimed: “You are great”. The footballer then shared a touching message, stating: “You are an inspiration to me, you are a lion who never gives up. You are like our team, all lions.

You gave me an energy that I can also tell my classmates about. You overcame these moments, you are an example for everyone. We have to give them a round of applause. Your girlfriend is exceptional, she has always supported you, it is true love, an example for everyone. For love, you do anything. I was moved because your mother made me think of my mother. Of the blessings she gives me every time I leave the house. As she says, look ahead and start this chapter of life with the people who love you. I am a believer and I tell you 'may God bless you'”.

The joke about Lukaku's missed penalty

The emotion was followed by a moment of lightheartedness, when Emanuele joked with Lukaku saying: “All you have to do is score a goal”. The footballer then gave a Napoli bag to Emanuele, containing the shirt and other sports items, saying: “I’ll wait for you at the stadium with your family, you’re guests”.

Furthermore, to mark the beginning of a new chapter for Emanuele, Lukaku announced a trip to New York, defined as one of his favorite cities, with a warm “I love you”. Finally, Emanuele whispered in the player’s ear, commenting: “What a penalty you took”, referring to an episode from the past, which elicited a contagious laugh from Lukaku.
