Naples – The Civil Protection of Campania has declared the'yellow weather alert for the entire region starting from 14:00 pm today until 23:59 pm.
The warning, issued by the Regional Functional Center, signals the arrival of heavy rainfall, with the possible development of thunderstorms accompanied by hail, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Rapidly evolving precipitation, with possible locally intense showers
Hydrogeological risk: flooding, inundations, runoff and landslides, especially in fragile areas
Strong winds could threaten trees and temporary structures
Security measures
The Unified Operations Room of the Civil Protection has alerted all the municipalities of Campania, inviting the mayors to:
Activate the Municipal Operations Centers (COC)
Monitor public greenery and structures exposed to the wind
Adopt preventive measures to reduce risks related to landslides and floods
We recommend:
Avoid underpasses and areas subject to flooding
Pay attention to traffic, especially in case of heavy rain
Protect external objects that could be carried by the wind
Forecast uncertainty requires maximum caution, as phenomena could manifest themselves suddenly and locally.
