Giffoni Film Festival Shines the Spotlight on Team26 and Inclusion at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games
On the penultimate day of the 56th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, the Domenico De Masi theater came alive with the premiere of "Giochi di tutti," a short documentary directed by the young Neapolitan director Simone Esposito. The film, produced by the Pred Ets association in collaboration with the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, was included in the Giffoni Sport section, attracting a large and enthusiastic audience.
The 15-minute documentary highlights the invaluable contribution of Team26 volunteers, the beating heart of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, highlighting how their dedication was essential to the event's success. Through images and testimonies, "Giochi di tutti" (Games for Everyone) depicts an "invisible human machine" built on collaboration, responsibility, and inclusion.
Livia Draghi, head of audiovisual production at the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, participated in the post-screening discussion, emphasizing that accessibility is a fundamental cultural principle and not simply an additional service. "Designing with everyone in mind means overcoming the concept of exclusion and ensuring that no one has to wonder if they can participate," she stated. She also highlighted the educational value that young volunteers derive from the experience, learning to work together and feel an integral part of a complex system.
Simone Esposito, director and president of Pred Ets, spoke of his excitement at presenting the project at Giffoni, where he has participated since adolescence. "The goal was to bring visibility to an event that would otherwise have remained in the shadows," he said, expressing pride in bringing a story of inclusion and youth engagement to the screen.
The screening of "Games for All" represents a significant moment to reflect on the importance of Olympic values and the social impact that events of this magnitude can have, especially when founded on principles of inclusion and active participation.
