The Night of the Tammorra in Piazza Mercato tonight
Naples - The eagerly awaited appointment with “La Notte della Tammorra” returns tonight at 21:XNUMX p.m. in Piazza Mercato, an event that celebrates Neapolitan musical and cultural tradition. The evening will be inaugurated by Serena Rossi, voice and face symbol of the Neapolitan musical and theatrical scene.
The show will open with the evocative “Canto 'a figliola”, a tribute to the Madonna del Carmine, followed by the traditional Tammurriata di Accoglienza. Big names from the folk scene will alternate on stage with new promises of popular music.
Among the protagonists, the group Ars Nova Napoli and the voices of Nu-Folk such as Irene Scarpato (Suonno d'ajere), Simona Boo (99 Posse, Bimbi di fumo), Denise Di Maria and the Roman Lavinia Mancusi, who will present an original project that blends folk, classical music and pop.
There will be performances by the historic female quartet Assurd and the energetic Bagarjia Orkestar. Rounding out the evening are the masters of Tammurriata: Antonio “o' Lione” Matrone, Toto Toralbo, Dario Mogavero and Luigi Matrone, custodians of tradition. An event that promises to make Piazza Mercato vibrate to the rhythm of Neapolitan popular culture.
