Acerra: 30-year-old man found with stolen gun in his home arrested

Acerra – The Naples Police Headquarters continues to conduct extraordinary checks to combat illegal gun possession and drug trafficking.

This morning, the State Police arrested a 30-year-old man in Acerra, already known to law enforcement, on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, related ammunition, and receiving stolen goods.

Officers from the Afragola Police Station, during a targeted operation, searched the man's home and found a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver, five .5 Magnum GFL rounds, and eleven .357 Special GFL rounds. Subsequent investigations revealed that the weapon had been stolen.

The thirty-year-old was then stopped and taken to the police station, where he was formally arrested. The weapon and ammunition were seized.
