Pozzuoli, earthquake this afternoon off the coast of Fusaro

Pozzuoli – A new earthquake was recorded by the seismographs of the Vesuvius Observatory off the coast of Fusaro in the Phlegraean Fields area at 3:54 PM today.

The earthquake of magnitude 2.0 was preceded by a loud bang with geographical coordinates (lat, lon) 40.8268 , 14.0773 and was reported at a depth of 3 km.

The earthquake was also felt by the population and follows a few hours after two other tremors recorded just before dawn today, with magnitudes of 1.4 and 1.1.

And then the four tremors recorded yesterday with the maximum one of magnitude 2.4 recorded at 22,57 pm last night, so much so that the technicians had raised an alarm for an ongoing seismic swarm.

The event was brief and fortunately did not have any consequences.
