Sabbath Revitalizes Neapolitan Soul with 'Tribute to The Showmen' at the Royal Palace Courtyard
Naples is preparing to celebrate one of the most vibrant expressions of its music scene with Sabba's live event, scheduled for July 1st in the evocative courtyard of the Royal Palace. The Neapolitan artist, born Salvatore Lampitelli, returns with an intense and heartfelt recording project: "Sabba: A Tribute to The Showmen." This album pays homage to the legendary band The Showmen, a cornerstone of Neapolitan soul, led by iconic figures such as James Senese and Franco Del Prete.
Sabba, known to the general public for his participation in the talent show "The Winner Is" on Canale 5, has built a solid career thanks to his powerful voice and deep connection to the city's musical tradition. In this new album, the artist offers a refined and respectful reinterpretation of the band's classic songs, such as "Un'ora sola ti vorrei" and "Gloria, ricchezza e te," enriched by the collaboration of prominent artists such as Daniele Sepe, Marcello Colasurdo, Enzo Gragnaniello, and Tony Esposito.
The album stands out for its arrangements by Sabba and Franco Del Prete, along with Sasà Mendoza, Lino Pariota, and Antonio Farabella, who maintain the original groove while breathing new life into the songs. Recorded at RR Sound Studios with Peppe Ponti as artistic producer, "Tributo to The Showmen" is an emotional bridge between past and present, a vibrant tribute that celebrates the legacy of Neapolitan soul.
Before the concert, the audience will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere with a DJ set featuring the biggest names in Neapolitan soul, including Napoli Centrale and James Senese. This is an unmissable event for music lovers who want to rediscover the deepest roots of Neapolitan tradition with a contemporary perspective.
