In the photo, a detail of the story.
Threats, stalking, and stakeouts outside his home, despite a previous conviction and a precautionary measure for similar offenses. This is the scenario investigators have reconstructed regarding a man under investigation for aggravated stalking and threats against his ex-wife, who has been subjected to new precautionary measures in the province of Benevento.
The measure was carried out yesterday by the Carabinieri of the Montesarchio station, upon order of the preliminary investigations judge of the Benevento Court, issued at the request of the Sannio Prosecutor's Office.
The suspect was ordered to remain at least 1,000 meters away from the woman and her family, prohibited from communicating with the victim, and prohibited from residing in the entire province of Benevento. He was also ordered to wear an electronic bracelet, to which he consented.
The investigation began after several complaints were filed by the ex-wife and allowed them to reconstruct a series of alleged stalking behaviors that continued over time. According to investigators, the man allegedly threatened the woman through messages posted on social media and sent via messaging platforms.
The threatening messages were also accompanied by stakeouts near the victim's home, stalking, and alleged attempted assaults and break-ins. The alleged conduct also involved the couple's children and several neighbors, who intervened to defend the woman.
The investigating judge ordered the precautionary measures, assessing the risk of the alleged behavior being repeated. The measure aims to ensure greater protection for the victim through stringent restrictions on the suspect's travel and contact.
The case remains under judicial review. The charges will be verified during the proceedings, and the man is presumed innocent until a final conviction.
