Two workers fall from scaffolding in Comiziano, one is critically injured.

Comiziano – The dramatic trail of workplace bloodshed that has been sweeping across the country in recent days continues. The latest serious incident occurred late this morning in Comiziano, where two workers were seriously injured during renovations to the local sports hall.

According to initial reconstructions, the two workers fell from a scaffolding, falling approximately five meters before hitting the ground.

The toll of the injured: a man fighting between life and death

The older of the two colleagues was the one who got the worst of it:
Carmine Spirito (born 1960): rushed to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples, where he is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit. He is intubated, with a critical prognosis and his life is in imminent danger.
Bruno Sirignano (born 1969): He suffered severe leg injuries and was transferred to Nola Hospital. Fortunately, doctors ruled out any life-threatening injuries.

Investigations ongoing

Carabinieri officers from the Cicciano station, along with personnel from the Labor Inspectorate Unit (NIL), promptly responded to the accident site. The officers and inspectors began investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident and verify compliance with safety regulations within the construction site.
