Piazza De Nicola
Naples – Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia police station arrested a 45-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, who was caught red-handed selling narcotics in Piazza Enrico De Nicola.
The patrol, engaged in routine checks to combat widespread lawlessness in the neighborhood, noticed the man exchanging a small package with another person for cash.
The police intervened immediately, arresting both individuals before they could leave. A search of the scene revealed evidence of the sale: the buyer was holding the dose he had just purchased, while the 45-year-old was still clutching the €10 note he had cashed in shortly before.
The man was transferred to a holding cell on suspicion of drug dealing. The buyer was fined and reported to the Prefecture for possession of drugs for personal use.
