The 17-year-old from Volla involved in the shooting that led to the death of innocent Fabio Ascione has been arrested.

Investigators believe him to be one of the key figures in the violent shooting that occurred on the night of April 7th on Via Carlo Miranda in Ponticelli. A ferocious firefight that shortly thereafter cost the life of an innocent man: nineteen-year-old Fabio Ascione.

The TikTok video: the boss's father's promise

Confirming the climate of defiance and the total lack of submission to the laws of the state is a video that appeared on TikTok in the past few hours. It was posted by the boy's father, a prominent member of the Veneruso-Rea clan of Volla. The man filmed with his smartphone the Carabinieri patrol cars that had just taken his son away, accompanying the images with an unequivocal caption: "My son, I will love you for the rest of my life, wrong or not, you are my blood. What bothered me? Eight of them to accompany you to prison, that's the limit. But don't worry, I'll do everything to bring you home, I promise you... you should have expected the cruelty." A manifesto of family and criminal loyalty unleashed on the internet.

The accusations and links to the Ascione murder

The young man was arrested last Saturday for involvement in an incident with other accomplices (one of whom was already in prison) on June 19th in Volla, after the seventeen-year-old and his friends failed to stop at a Carabinieri checkpoint. He and others face serious charges: illegal possession and carrying of weapons, receiving stolen goods, and resisting arrest.

But his name weighs heavily in the documents of the precautionary order for the murder of Fabio Ascione. AA's name appears in the orders against Francesco Pio Autiero (believed to be the perpetrator of the crime) as well as those against the latter's accomplices: Eugenio Ascione (cousin of the innocent victim) and Emanuele Loquercio.

The reconstruction of the bloody night

According to investigators' reconstruction, on the night of April 7, the young man from Volla was aboard a dark Volkswagen Tiguan with three accomplices, one of whom was a minor. The car entered the heart of Ponticelli, sparking a Wild West-style chase and subsequent firefight with Autiero's group and a minor accomplice, KV.

It wasn't a chance meeting: the two factions of "baby criminals" were seeking each other out for a settling of scores. At the heart of the dispute, according to the investigation, were old and new frictions related to the division of territory for the car theft business.

A bounty on a 17-year-old: the arrest that saves his life

The feud, however, didn't end with firearms. In the days following the clash, threats continued unabated on the respective factions' social media channels. Rumors circulating through the backstreets of Ponticelli paint an even more disturbing picture: the powerful De Micco clan has even placed a price on the head of the seventeen-year-old from Volla. In this context of imminent revenge, the arrest by the military may have paradoxically saved his life. But judging by the comments continuing to pour in on social media, the game seems far from over.
