Campania, the Region is allocating €225 million for scholarships and new local development projects.

The Campania Region is implementing a plan worth approximately €225 million for the right to university education and a series of initiatives aimed at regional development, social policies, and agriculture. The measures were approved by the regional council meeting at Palazzo Santa Lucia, upon a proposal from President Roberto Fico and the relevant councilors.

The main focus concerns scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year. The program for university education support confirms the entry criteria, with ISEE and ISPE thresholds set at €25.500 and €54.000, respectively. Funding will be provided through regional tax revenues, the State Supplementary Fund of the Ministry of University and Research, and an allocation of €110 million from the Revolving Fund and the Campania Regional ESF+ Program 2021/2027.

Also on the university front, the council has planned an investment of over €15,3 million for the construction of a new University of Naples campus in Nola. The facility will be used for teaching activities, laboratories, and student services.

Other measures approved include the plan for the internal areas, with the green light given to the Preliminary Strategy for the "Tammaro Titerno" internal area, with the Municipality of Castelpagano as the lead partner. The project focuses on digital transition, mobility, and the enhancement of local resources, with a total budget of over €14,3 million.

The Region also authorized the Municipality of Castel Volturno to use approximately €292 from tender savings to demolish illegal structures already identified in the area.

On the social front, the Regional Coordination for Family Placement was established, with the aim of strengthening coordination between agencies and supporting policies dedicated to welcoming minors through foster care.

The package of measures approved by the regional council therefore aims to focus resources on training, university infrastructure, revitalization of inland areas, and support for the most vulnerable segments of the population.
