The final word has come in the marriage between Francesco Totti and Ilary Blasi. The divorce between the former Roma captain and the television host is now official: the ruling of the Civil Court of Rome, filed in early June, became final in recent days, formally closing the process that began with the announcement of their separation in July 2022.
A story that has filled the news in recent years, with hearings, reconstructions, disputed assets, and the battle over the famous Rolex watches. Among the most controversial aspects of the proceedings was the child support awarded to the couple's three children.
According to some reports, the judge ordered a reduction in the monthly amount paid by Totti to his ex-wife, from €12.500 to €10.900, a reduction of €1.600. The decision is believed to be based on the assessment of the at least partial self-sufficiency of his eldest son, Cristian Totti, who plays professionally at the Longarina football school.
For daughter Chanel, however, any evaluation would have been postponed to a next hearing set for October 16, while for the youngest, Isabel, the financial arrangement already established would remain confirmed.
The legal proceedings, however, are not yet completely closed. In the coming months, the technical consultant appointed by the Court will have to file a report on the financial situations of the two former spouses, a document that could impact subsequent decisions regarding any possible charges for separation.
During the trial, several witnesses were heard, including Cristiano Iovino, who, according to the reconstructions that emerged, reported in court an alleged affair with Ilary Blasi before his marriage to Totti ended. This testimony fits into the comparison of the different versions given by the two former spouses in recent years.
Other chapters of the dispute remain open, including the issue of Rolex watches stored in the shared safe and the dispute over infiltration into the former family villa in the EUR district. The criminal complaint for alleged child abandonment has been dismissed.
