Mystery in Naples: Woman found on the street with a head wound

A woman lying on the asphalt, with a visible head wound and significant blood loss. This is the scene encountered by the Carabinieri of the Naples Mobile Radio Unit shortly after midnight, during a patrol on Via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi.

The soldiers were stopped by a passerby who reported the presence of the woman on the ground near number 76. Once they reached the indicated location, the Carabinieri immediately requested the intervention of the 118 personnel.

Hospitalization at Cardarelli

The woman, a 47-year-old resident of the province of Bergamo, was treated and transferred in emergency to Cardarelli Hospital, where she remains hospitalized. Paramedics diagnosed her with a head injury and are monitoring her condition.

Investigations to reconstruct what happened

The circumstances that led to the woman's injury remain unclear. Investigators are currently not ruling out any possible causes and are working to reconstruct the final moments before she was found.

The investigation has been entrusted to the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Napoli Stella Company, who are acquiring and analyzing video surveillance footage from businesses along the street.
