Boscoreale mourns the death of butcher Giuseppe Riccardi, who was hit by a taxi in Capri.

Boscoreale – Giuseppe Riccardi's heart stopped beating. The 32-year-old from Boscoreale died at the Santa Maria delle Grazie Hospital in Pozzuoli, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit with a critical prognosis.

The young butcher, a respected worker on the blue island, was the victim of a tragic accident last Friday. While crossing the street, he was hit head-on by a taxi, a violent impact that required a desperate air ambulance transfer.

Despite intensive care and the efforts of medical staff, the very serious injuries he sustained left him with no chance of survival.

In the hours following the accident, the news immediately reached Boscoreale, rallying the entire town and acquaintances around the Riccardi family.

On Facebook and other social media platforms, an intense and moving wave of prayers and messages of support arose, with daily appeals for a miracle.
