The Royal Palace of Caserta will also be open on August 15th: opening hours, exhibitions, and services for Ferragosto 2026.

The Royal Palace of Caserta confirms its opening hours on Ferragosto (August 15), Saturday, August 15, 2026, maintaining the same opening hours and access procedures as during the summer. The monumental complex of the Ministry of Culture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will therefore remain open for visits throughout the central week of Italian holidays, with the usual Tuesday closure (except for seasonal exceptions).

Opening hours and admissions on August 15th

On Saturday, August 15, visitors will be able to access the various areas of the Palace according to the following schedule:
Royal Apartments: 8.30am to 19pm (last admission 18.15pm).
Palatine Chapel: 8:30 am to 6:15 pm (last admission 6:10 pm).
Royal Park: 8.30am to 19pm (last admission at 18pm).
English Garden: 8.30am to 18pm (last admission at 17pm).
The last entry from outside the Vanvitellian Complex is set at 18 pm.

Current exhibitions and installations

In addition to the standard museum tour, the Royal Palace offers temporary exhibitions during the summer, which are included in the entrance ticket or season ticket.
"Archetypes" by Antonio Biasiucci: on display in the Gran Galleria until November 30, 2026, the photography exhibition is designed to lead the public's gaze "into the depths of matter and memory," highlighting everyday elements transfigured into universal symbols.
Michelangelo Pistoletto's "Third Paradise": visible in the old woods of the Royal Park, the installation – 25 meters long and 10 meters wide – is made from natural wood and historic stone materials recovered on site, and is intended as a place of rest and meditation.

During your visit, several services are available to make your stay easier:
Food: Cafe/buffet in the Cannocchiale; kiosk and small restaurant "Diana e Atteone" near the fountain at the top of the Via d'Acqua.
Bookshop: on the ground floor, in the third courtyard.
Internal transportation: bike, shuttle, and golf cart rentals at the entrance to the Royal Park.
Graefer's Greenhouses and Hercules's Former Guardhouse: View and purchase a variety of plants, native and exotic botanical specimens featured in the Museum's 19th-century catalogues.

Useful Information

The Ministry of Culture Museum is closed on Tuesdays; for holidays that fall on Tuesdays, the Palace occasionally opens during regular opening hours, as previously occurred on August 15th. Tickets are limited in number and time slots and can be purchased online or at the ticket office in Piazza Carlo di Borbone, subject to availability.
