New Maradona Stadium: Simeone Responds to Controversy

Group leader Nino Simeone defends the redevelopment project for the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, the result of years of work, with an increase in capacity and a focus on accessibility.

The redevelopment project for the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is poised to transform the Neapolitan sports facility, with a capacity increased to 63 seats and larger spaces in the stands and the stands. Nino Simeone, leader of the Fico Presidente group, highlighted the details and responded to criticism, calling the work accomplished the result of years of commitment and constant dialogue.

While others limited themselves to talking, we worked seriously and without allowing ourselves to be influenced by controversy", says Simeone.

During the official presentation of the project, the enthusiasm was palpable among those in attendance, many of whom expressed pride at the result achieved. Simeone emphasized how the plan includes a significant increase in the popular sectors, ensuring a greater number of seats in the stands and the distinct sections, which are the most frequented by fans. Special attention was paid to inclusivity, with over 600 seats reserved for people with disabilities, confirming the commitment to more equal and functional access for all.

The group leader now invites everyone to look forward with confidence, hoping for the project to be officially announced by October. "This redevelopment represents a significant investment for the city of Naples and its fans, a step towards one of the most modern and welcoming stadiums in Italy," Simeone concludes.
