Naples, school lunch registration is now open: here are the new features for 2026/2027.

Registration for the Municipality of Naples' school meal service for the 2026/2027 school year is now open. The new procedure introduces several changes regarding both student diet choices and the verification of family data.

For the first time, upon enrollment, each parent will be required to indicate the type of diet their child will be offered. They can choose between the standard diet, intended for students without special needs, the standardized diet for children with medical conditions, food intolerances, or religious or cultural needs, or a customized diet for those who do not fall into any of the previous categories.

Only one diet plan may be selected for each student. The Municipality specifies that, during the school year, the diet may be modified if necessary, keeping track of any changes made.

Among the main innovations are checks on tax returns submitted by users. Palazzo San Giacomo has signed memoranda of understanding with INPS (National Institute of Social Security) and the National Registry of Resident Population (ANPR) to electronically verify the accuracy of ISEE data and any entitlement to benefits under Law 104/92.

The municipal administration's goal is to make the registration system more efficient and ensure timely verification of the requirements declared by families accessing the school meal service.
