Naples bans the sale of drinks in rigid containers during matches at the Maradona stadium.

For all Napoli home matches scheduled at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the 2026/2027 season, the sale of drinks in rigid containers, such as bottles, cans, glass, rigid plastic, and Tetra Paks, will be prohibited.

The measure, adopted by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi at the request of the police headquarters, affects both the stadium and public and commercial establishments in the surrounding streets. The ban applies from three hours before the start of each match until two hours after its conclusion. Only drinks served in lightweight plastic or paper cups will be permitted.

The ordinance aims to facilitate the management of order and safety during sporting events, reducing the risks associated with the use of potentially dangerous containers.
