San Felice a Cancello: A fight over a cell phone ends in stabbings, leaving two injured.

Caserta - An argument that, according to initial reports, stemmed from the alleged theft of a cell phone, escalated into a knife fight. It happened on August 26 in San Felice a Cancello, in the Caserta area, where officers from the Flying Squad of the Maddaloni police station intervened.

The police were alerted by the operations center after a report of an assault in progress outside a business. Upon arrival, officers arrested two men, aged 46 and 37, both Moroccan.

The fight and the wounds

According to investigators' reconstruction, the two began arguing over the alleged theft of a cell phone. Words quickly escalated into a physical altercation, culminating in the use of a bladed weapon.

Both sustained injuries during the fight. They were rescued and transported to the Marcianise hospital for treatment.

The investigations at the Police Headquarters

After being discharged and undergoing medical treatment, the two were taken to the Caserta Police Headquarters , where they underwent photodactyloscopic tests.

Following the investigation, they were reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere for aggravated assault with a bladed weapon and for violations of immigration laws.

Held pending expulsion procedures

The investigations also revealed that both were without a valid residence permit and had no fixed abode.

Once the required formalities were completed and the public prosecutor on duty issued a deportation order, the two were placed in administrative detention at the Immigration Office of the Caserta Police Headquarters.

They will remain at the disposal of the competent authority pending the procedures for possible escort to the border.
