After the 4.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Pozzuoli, an 80-year-old man was rescued by firefighters, who also evacuated 18 families from a building at risk.

Earthquake in the Phlegraean Fields: Firefighters rescue an elderly man and evacuate families in Pozzuoli.
Pozzuoli – Firefighters responded promptly yesterday evening to Via Fasano to rescue an 80-year-old man who was bedridden and trapped in his home due to serious injuries sustained on the stairs of his building.
Using a ladder truck and specialized cave-alpine-river (SAF) rescue techniques, the staff successfully recovered the elderly man, allowing him to safely exit his home.
This wasn't the only critical intervention in the area: also in Pozzuoli, on Traversa II Via Virgilio, the Fire Brigade ordered the evacuation of a building inhabited by 18 families, after detecting a significant amount of cracking that threatened the stability of the building.
Furthermore, on Via Cigliano, a ridge collapsed, blocking access to four villas, further complicating the situation.
