Blitz in the Spanish Quarters: drug stash discovered hidden in a safe

Naples – The alleys of the Spanish Quarter continue to be the scene of law enforcement's offensive against drug trafficking. As part of the extraordinary territorial control operations deployed by the Naples Police Headquarters, officers from the Montecalvario Police Station have carried out another raid on the local drug trafficking network.

During a targeted search inside a building in the area, police located a box used as a strategic hiding place. Inside were carefully concealed 21 packages of marijuana (weighing approximately 25 grams) and 48 sticks of hashish, for a total of nearly 94 grams. The entire shipment was seized by unknown persons, resulting in dozens of ready-to-market doses being stolen from drug dealing centers in the historic center.

Investigations to trace the users of the hideout

The discovery of the narcotics belonging to unknown persons represents only the first phase of the operation. Investigators are now focusing on identifying the individuals who had access to the stash and the merchandise.

Scientific and fingerprint tests: The packages and the box itself will be subjected to technical examination by the Forensic Police to isolate any fingerprints or traces of DNA attributable to the dealers or the "custodians" of the depot.

Video surveillance analysis: Investigators are analyzing footage from both public and private security cameras installed along the building's access routes to track suspicious movements in the hours preceding the raid and identify those approaching the hideout.

Mapping local criminal dynamics: The space was likely used as a "transit depot" (known in slang as a "support" or "support" space), a well-known technique to prevent drug dealers from being caught with large quantities of drugs. Cross-referencing the location of the building with maps of clans active in the Montecalvario area will help narrow down the suspects to the criminal groups that control that specific sector.

Street intelligence and local monitoring: The information-investigative activity aims to collect informal testimonies from residents and monitor the "street" to verify who, in the hours following the seizure, shows signs of nervousness or is trying to reorganize the supply of lost doses.
