The shopping center parking lot
Two precautionary custody orders were executed by staff at the Afragola Public Safety Commissioner's Office against an adult and a minor, considered to be seriously suspected of the crime of aggravated robbery.
The orders were issued respectively by the investigating judge of the Naples North Court and the investigating judge of the Naples Juvenile Court, as part of an investigation coordinated by the two prosecutors' offices. The investigation began with an incident that occurred on June 30 in the parking lot of the Ipercoop shopping center in Afragola.
A person reported having their cell phone violently stolen by unknown assailants. Subsequent investigations, conducted by officers from the Afragola Police Station, including through video surveillance footage, yielded numerous pieces of evidence against the two suspects.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the alleged perpetrators threatened the victim and forced him to hand over an iPhone 16, in order to obtain an unfair profit. After completing the formal procedures, the adult was taken to the Poggioreale prison, while the minor was placed in a residential community, where he will be held by the respective judicial authorities.
The measures executed are precautionary measures ordered during preliminary investigations. They may be appealed. The recipients remain under investigation and, therefore, presumed innocent until a final verdict is reached.
